Shrink Wrapping Machines
We have manufactured shrink wrapping machines to provide packaging solutions for difficult applications, an example was the need to have a relatively high speed machine running at about thirty collations per minute with an unstable product, being long and very narrow. A traditional right angle machine with a pusher would cater for the unstable nature of the product but this would not achieve the throughput requirements, a standard inline machine would not allow the product to transfer over the interfaces without falling over.
Our solution was a custom machine using an inline format with very rigid conveyors and belt transfers with very small diameter rollers, the final belt was silicon faced that acted as the sealing and cutting medium as well as keeping tight control of the plastic film.
The end result was interfaces that would convey a trayed product only fifty five millimetres wide and up to three hundred millimetres high flawlessly through the system. Site space restrictions required the system to be as narrow as possible with the film being loaded onto the side of the machine and feeding at right angles.

Another Case Study
In Another application we were approached to manufacture a shrink wrapping solution to fit into a very restricted space in an existing line. The product was presented to us laying flat on its wide face and it required turning through ninety degrees, the product then needed to be counted into a number of varying bundle lengths before being sleeve wrapped and finally shrunk tight into a collation.
The solution was an inclined infeed conveyor to a starwheel section with multiple change parts to turn the product, top and side belts stabilized the product on its narrow face and a collating pusher that passes the product through the sealing and cutting area, transferring then at right angles onto the shrink tunnel conveyor.

Bundled Battery Cells
How do they shrink battery cells together to make the packs that go into countless products?
We made a small heat shrink tunnel with a custom belt, not a very high aperture and only as wide as the fan assembly the machine takes two lanes of products that have been hand assembled with a heat shrink sleeve in place and produces tight battery packs.
We always welcome shrink wrapping enquiries
